Getting started

Here is the whole journey, from your first sign-in to an AI quietly working within limits you have set.

  1. Sign up

    Passwordless, via a magic link sent to your inbox.

    No complicated sign-up process... You sign in with your email and that's it.

  2. Connect your AI Assistant

    Connect your AI Assistant to Frnd; this is called an App Connection.

    Your AI Assistant needs to support the MCP protocol. Beyond that, how you set this up depends on the AI Assistant you use and which authentication method it supports.

    When you connect it, you will be asked to create a passphrase; this passphrase is used to encrypt your confidential details in our database.

    Important: Do not forget this passphrase. It is not recoverable – not even by us.

  3. Connect your services

    Add, configure, and enable the services you want your AI Assistant to reach. Services are known as abilities in the app.

    The permission model for each ability enables you to exercise fine-grained control on what your AI Assistant can do.

  4. Use it with your AI

    You are ready to go: Your AI Assistant can now reach the services you have connected — within the limits you have set.

  5. Approve sensitive actions

    Coming soon

    When your AI wants to do something like send an email, you will get a notification for review and approval.

  6. Check the logs

    Every action your AI takes is logged — what it did, when, and through which connection.
